Confidential Employer Production Painter in Aston, Pennsylvania

The painter will be responsible for painting aerospace and defense shipping containers, including all aspects -- mixing paint while avoiding waste, cleaning, and preparing parts for the painting process, disposing of paint waste properly, and so on. 

 

  • Assemble, secure, and disassemble portable equipment, such as ventilators, exhaust units, ladders, or scaffolding.
  • Read and interpret transition tags to determine customer design specifications, workflow sequence, product identification, and timeline for completion.
  • Review customer design specifications to determine color, flow, viscosity, and coating quality.
  • Use hand or power tools to mix paints to match design specifications.
  • Measure and fill distribution systems with materials used to coat, paint, or spray.
  • Operate and position HVLP Spray Guns to direct paint spray onto components.
  • Adjust proper dispersion of spray using hand tools to connect or disconnect hose and nozzle attachments to machinery.
  • Operate dials, handwheels, valves, or switches to regulate temperature, air pressure and circulation, and the flow or spray of coatings or paints.
  • Monitor gauges and equipment operation to identify defects or deviations such as blisters or streaks and adjust as necessary.
  • Examine, measure, weigh, or test sample products and adjust as necessary to ensure conformance to design specifications.
  • Operate auxiliary machines or equipment used in coating or painting processes.
  • Use hand tools to remove materials, parts, or workpieces from painting or coating machines.
  • Record operational data on transition tags and communicate workflow status with supervisor and production team.
  • Adjust controls on infrared ovens, heat lamps, portable ventilators, or exhaust units to speed the drying of surfaces between coats.
  • Maintain housekeeping in workstation including open access and egress, spill response, and equipment storage.
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers or power equipment.
  • Operate lifting or moving devices to transport equipment or materials to the painting workstation.
  • 3 years' experience preferred to fall in $20-$25/hr pay tier.
  • 7 + years' experience required for $25-$30 pay tier.
  • Training in crane and overhead work as well as SSPC and NACE certifications are pluses.

     

     

Full Benefits after 60 days of employment

Full Time: Monday -- Thursday 10 hr. shifts 6:00am -- 4:30pm

Pay Tiers: 3 years - $20 - $25; 7 years - $25 - $30.
