Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in COLUMBIA, Maryland. The individual will play a crucial role in litigation, specifically in Maryland district and circuit courts as well as federal courts. This firm was started by big firm Attorneys who wanted to continue to do sophisticated work with without having to navigate the politics and limits of a larger firm. There are no billable requirements and the office is casual and collegial.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough legal research to support cases and provide sound legal advice

• Craft detailed and persuasive legal documents, demonstrating exceptional writing skills

• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, opposing counsel, judicial officers, and team members

• Practice Commercial Litigation and Federal Courts

• Apply exceptional writing and legal research skills in day-to-day tasks.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of three years of experience as an attorney or lawyer.

• Demonstrated proficiency in commercial litigation.

• Familiarity with federal court procedures and protocols.

• Strong legal research skills.

• Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to draft legal documents and correspondences.

• Must hold a valid license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
