Amazon Communications Specialist, International Stores Communications (PR) in London, United Kingdom

Description

Amazon is seeking an experienced communications professional to join the International Stores Comms team (supporting across the EMEA, APAC and LATAM regions). This is a new role that sits within the Central Stores Programs Comms team as part of the Global Stores Comms organisation and reports to the Prime and Core Shopping Experience Comms Manager.

The role will specifically support across two key strategic Comms programs; (1) Prime and (2) Core Shopping Experience, which is inclusive of Amazon’s core retail proposition of delivering fast convenient delivery, low prices, onsite shopping innovations, and quality selection.

We are looking for a highly-organised, experienced PR professional who is eager to learn, is an excellent writer, can exercise good judgement in a fast-paced environment, and who can quickly earn the trust of internal and external stakeholders. You should be experienced in media relations, issues and crisis management, project management, social media activations, as well as some experience defining and informing communications strategies.

Skills:

• Experience across traditional media (earned and paid), social media (influencers and owned) and emerging media channels

• Proactive in the extreme, taking responsibility and making things happen, often to a tight deadline

• Highly organised and able to juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, while managing essential admin and reporting work

• Expert writer with a strong track record of writing press releases, social media copy, internal planning documents and campaign reports

• Adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity and able to work in a fast-paced corporate environment

Additional preferred qualifications include:

• Experience of delivery and implementation of experiential activity

• Experience of working with internal data to build media narratives

Key job responsibilities

• Work closely with global topic leads (U.S. based) to inform communications strategies that can be adapted across the EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions

• Support and execute strategic communications programs in collaboration with in-country Comms teams around the world

• Support on planning, activating and evaluating multi-channel consumer campaigns

• Regularly interact with business teams to advise on risk mitigation, proactive comms planning and reactive media messaging development

• Support on narrative management including reactive issues and crisis comms

• Manage agency relationships and work strategically with our central international agency partners on comms activations

• Develop, improve, and maintain international Comms resources, to support in driving standardised best practice across the team

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in professional communications or public relations

  • Advanced proficiency in Outlook, Excel and Word, and experience managing and working with PR agencies

Preferred Qualifications

  • • Experience working across international market segments
